Please stay
tuned to local radio and TV stations for the latest information
on school closings and delays. We follow Dade County Public

Critical
Emergency: Total School Lockdown/Relocation |
|
In the event
of an extreme emergency at a school site, we request that
parents tune in to local media outlets (TV, radio), for information
regarding how to reunite with their child/children. We request
you follow the directions as given through the media. Do not
go to the effected school. Your presence would hinder or delay
the emergency response plan in process. Please abide by the
directions given to you through the media outlets. |

|
During fire
drills, pupils are to leave the building quickly in an orderly
manner and report to a designated place outside, remaining

Procedures
followed to aid injured children:
Teachers will send the child to the

Office personnel will notify a parent and describe
the injury. For a minor injury the parent will make the decision
about ...removing the child from

Illness
|
|
We emphasize
the importance of regular attendance, but children should
not be sent to school when they are ill. Pupils with communicable
diseases must not attend school. If a child becomes ill enough
to go home during the school day the parent will be notified
by school personnel. It is important that we have your correct
phone number and also names and phone numbers for emergency
contact. This information is requested at the time of registration
and should be kept up to date. Our limited facilities make
it impossible to keep children in the clinic for extended
periods of time. No medication will be given without proper
authorization on file in the school office. |
